On June 29, 2026, the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) posted a California Notice on the Decision to Begin Reevaluation of Specified Total Release Fogger (TRF) Products for Indoor Consumer Use. <https://www.cdpr.ca.gov/stakeholder-notice/california-notice-decision-to-begin-reevaluation-of-specified-total-release-fogger-trf-products-for-indoor-consumer-use>


DPR is currently accepting public comments, where feedback can be submitted regarding DPR’s decision to begin reevaluation of specified TRF products for indoor consumer use. Comments from registrants, public agencies and the public are encouraged, and will help DPR evaluate all evidence regarding the effects of TRFs under their current use requirements. Comments will be accepted up to and including July 29, 2026. The department intends to post comments received following the close of the comment period and any follow-up materials on its website.
