The California Department of Pesticide Regulation’s (DPR) new, Scientific Prioritization and Review Committee, or SPARC, will advise DPR on prioritizing actions associated with continuous evaluation and mitigation.
SPARC will provide science-based recommendations to inform DPR’s transparent, data-driven process for identifying and addressing potential risks to human health and the environment from pesticide use. SPARC meetings will serve as a public forum for discussing recommendations to DPR on initiating priority actions, including human health and environmental risk assessments, alternatives assessment, and mitigation. If you would like to submit a pesticide for prioritization consideration, please go to this link to fill out the Pesticide Priority Recommendation Form <https://cdpr.commentinput.com?id=jQ8raAYtc> .
Due to time constraints, we may not get to all comments during the SPARC meetings. Therefore, DPR encourages the public to submit comments via this SmartComment page before or after the SPARC meeting. Submitted comments will be shared with SPARC members prior to each SPARC meeting.
