Draft Memo for Fipronil Mitigation Options and Economic and Pest Management Evaluation of Fipronil Spot-On Pet Products in California

The California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) is accepting public comment on a Draft Mitigation Options Memorandum and an Economic and Pest Management Evaluation of Fipronil Products in California. The Draft Mitigation Options document summarizes aquatic and human health risks associated with use of pet products containing fipronil as well as the mitigation options that DPR has evaluated to address these risks. In addition, the Economic and Pest Management Evaluation of Fipronil Products in California examines the currently available alternative pest management options for California pet owners if fipronil spot-on products were no longer available.
